I reinstalled skyrim yesterday (I got a new hdd) and decided I'd start a new character and play with some mods (TONS OF MODZ). I went to nexus to get a few but I have been having issues with both the mod manager and the manual DLs. -NMM: refuses to download files most of the time. slow log in. on the ocaision it does decide to download it is moving at 6kb/sec (slow). -Manual: works some of the time but is also really slow or unresponsive. Not only that all of the mods on all of the Nexus sites are super slow. I've also tried downloading on the Nexus Mod Manager but that too is just as slow. I know it's easy to blame it on their servers but is there any chance this is user error? Maybe I have some network firewall restricting the downloads? I am using Win 8.1 64 bit, as well as Avast. My usual download speeds are 9 Mbit or 1.2 Bbyte. If it's too slow for you, just go back when there's likely to be less people using it. THIS IS really weird. Downloading via my browser manually is quicker @_@ Manual downloads come from a Mirror. NMM downloads are from their servers. I've discovered the more popular mods that I use are on Bethesda.net. I'm getting an odd issue where I have paid for premium download speeds, and get those when I am manually downloading from the nexus server. However if I use "download with manager" option, it drops below the 1mb /s cap and will stay under 300 KB/s at best. I've tried letting it through the firewall but I'm unsure of what else could be the problem. I'm unsure if this is a temporary speed issue, as it's only being affected by downloading through vortex and it's been happening since yesterday.
