Wotc steam workshop does not download subscribed mods

Finding Subscribed Mods (steam workshop) User Info: J Nice. J Nice 7 years ago #1. I have looked all over the workshop to see what mods I've subscribed to but I cant seem to find it. Anyone know where to look? This workshop is starting to seem like more of a hassle than its worth.

Hello, I and apparently others are having problems with the steam workshop's mods being stuck in an updating phase. Here is a screenshot of the problem, and also a reddit thread where others say they have similar problems. Shutting down steam and rebooting it wasn't enough for me. I had to do a full restart to resolve this issue. Hope this helps someone else. I have been trying to figure out how to use mods. I go to the workshop and hit subscribe. I restart the game and still no mods. I validate the files and still no mods. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

If that's a problem, as it has been for a number of people on these forums already, then you can download and manage them manually instead. There's a Steam Workshop Downloader (google that and it'll be the first result), not sure if it works with Civ 6's workshop, but if it does then that's an easy way to do it. As for the Workshop mods not installing, when you subscribe to a mod through the Steam client (make sure it's through the Steam client itself), you should see a download go through as if a game was installing. After a around a week or so, the mod will show up in the launcher. The launcher will then either crash repeatedly until I restart my computer, or the mod will load without issue.
